Cabin Cushion is a creative sustainability workshop. We create beautiful earth friendly meditation cushions and home goods through a unique upcyling process which is good for people and the planet.
Our cushions are available for volume or wholesale purchase to retailers and organizations including nature and retreat centers, practice communities and yoga studios.

One seat at a time! We are committed to making products people enjoy which they can also feel good about. The beauty and comfort of a cabin cushion will remind you to slow down, relax and reconnect with yourself.
The top of each Cabin Cushion is made from recycled/upcycled fabrics including clothing which has been cleaned, pressed and reinforced to give it new life! The sides and bottom of each outdoor cushion are made with durable, tear resistant and waterproof materials, enabling you to bring your cushion with you pretty much anywhere you’d like to go! Our indoor cushions are water repellent rather than waterproof while still offering durability.
When you purchase a Cabin Cushion you are helping sustain our planet. Your purchase allows us to bring new life to gently used materials which may otherwise end up in landfills unnecessarily. We upcycle every piece of fabric possible or integrate it into filling which has a variety of uses in support of our vision to operate with as close to zero waste as possible.

Letting Go for Good doesn’t mean forgetting what we are attached to. It means letting go of the previous form of something or someone while still treasuring those memories – as they live on and transform into something fresh and new.
How does it work?
Local Drop Off: Contribute gently used fabrics including clothing, blankets, curtains and more at our Workshop at the corner of Main & Pine Street in Downtown Lockport, NY. The items are washed and sorted before being transformed into new products or shredded for cushion filling.
Local Pick Up: Contact us to arrange pickup of your items.

Our Approach
We bring new life to gently used materials through our creative design process. We enjoy co-creating new treasures from old ones using rescued fabrics that might otherwise end up in a landfill. Because we aim for sustainably, not perfection, end products are always unique.
Our Process
All materials are cleaned, pressed and cut according to our established patterns or customers request. Each item is made by hand or sewing machine. Seams and fabrics are reinforced as needed, and then quality checked to ensure comfort and durability.

Cabin Cushion is a creative endeavor. Our creations have character given their upcycling journey and the artistic vision of each team member who helps bring them new life. We value a caring, compassionate and inclusive environment which promotes wellbeing for all.
